国际纯粹与应用化学联合会（International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, IUPAC）在经过长达两年的选址后宣布，将于2026年夏季起将其总部设在西班牙马拉加和意大利罗马。该组织作为化学领域的管理机构和元素周期表的维护者，于2024年6月宣布计划离开自1997年以来一直所在的北卡罗来纳州研究三角园区。
